There I was....

A few years ago, my son was taking a creative writing class.  He had writer's block.  I told him to start with the sentence, "There I was..."  He laughed at me, but then tried it and the ideas started flowing!

It is one of my favorite openings.

So there I was. At the bus stop.

Maybe I should introduce myself first. My name is Zita.  I am a middle aged woman with two grown children.  Well one grown and one on the cusp of boyhood and manhood.  He's kind of wobbling back and forth.

I teach piano.
I play the piano.
I ride the bus.
By choice.
And I walk.
A lot.

And lately, I have been having random, profound conversations at bus stops.  So much so, that I feel I should write them down and share them. Hence this blog!
